Welcome to the storage unit of my portfolio, where I like to keep past projects that don’t really fit anywhere in particular. These are generally unique one offs, short freelance stints or independent creative expression. Most of these have been formally boxed up for display so I can swap them in and out, depending on how I feel. It wouldn’t even be uncommon to encounter projects that go as far back as my college days.

When I was an intern at MCD Partners, we used to hold creative brainstorms designed to inspire the creative team with fun collaboration. Despite our best intentions, many of the ideas never got out of development hell, and this idea was no different. However, it did get further than most. As the intern on staff, I got to work on a lot of the pieces for this since it was unbillable work. I wrote a splash screen for the game as well as a lot of the character creation pieces.

MCD Partners Holiday Vines
MCD Partners is an interactive design agency that wanted to bring their holiday card into the digital era. Back in 2014, Vines were the hottest thing at the time, and so they created holiday shorts to send out to their clients and other affiliates. I worked freelance, with a heavy stress on the word “free” here, with a small team of about 6 where we filmed a handful of 6-second shorts. My two ideas below were part of the final collection.
Extreme Reach Infographic
For Extreme Reach, I was a contractor brought in to help with their rebranding. My primary assignment for them was to work on some unique ways to explain the company’s business model, which was to be an all-in-one resource for business making commercials and other video ads. The biggest idea to come out of this focus was an interactive infographic feature designed for the homepage. Note: the language here is very poetic, but we were still in an early phase defining the new voice and tone of the brand.
